    Default Good news/bad news

Good news is that I am finally seeing a decent chance for rain on Thursday. Bad news is that it is Thursday the 6th.

Red flags all over the middle part of the state already, but that is fixing to grow...

I have a fire in Southport that we can’t get out. It’s been burning under ground for about month now.

Hard to get excited about a 40% chance of rain.

Not if you can do math. But it is better than anything else I've seen.

I'm curious about the fire underground. Can you elaborate?

It’s bad. Had 40 acres of corn plant......it’s gone. Burned up. Was preparing to plant 80 acres of beans......to hell with that. 200 acres of hay....... looks like straw grass. Dove field.......looks like shit.

    Don't talk about fire!

I was riding around yesterday and "thought" I saw smoke, and all but panicked.

Everything around the house is so dry I'm expecting the sun to cause it to instantaneously combust.

In new good news/bad news, several models show this low spinning in the Gulf might be looking to head for Louisiana as a tropical something. Good news is that it should bring us a nice soaking if that happens. Bad news is that it might bring the Mississippi River basin a good soaking when they are already in a bad situation...
