How do the deer like them? Was there any sort of time delay for them to become acclimated to them or did they just start on them like most other bean plants?

I've noticed some plants mine aren't use to take some time to get our deer excited about them.

For instance Lab Lab.

Ours didn't immediately take to it.
In all likelihood, you already have them both growing naturally in the woods and field edges.
They love both plants late spring and early summer and they provide high digestible protein.
Late summer, the tannins increase and plants grow on up providing the best brood habitat for the birds.
I plant new areas from time to time and maintain them by discing and or burning in the fall/winter.
Great deer browse and great brood habitat....
