Its the sewer. I live on Jeffries Creek and every year as soon as it start to gets hot the whole neighborhood smells like shit. The smell seems to come out of the tub drain too.

Go on a "shit strike" to oppose these smells. Sew your hineys shut until the smells go away.

Used to be one set of chicken houses in Lower Florence county, other than that it would have had to be trucked from upper Marion county, Darlington or Dillon. My point being, not much chicken litter gets spread in Florence due to the distance it has to be hauled. Are you sure it’s litter, or some other land application of a stank by-product?

    I'm positive in this instance.

I don't know about jefferies creek, but I know what "that smell" is Mars Bluff is experiencing.

I've heard it over and over this year, because a new farmer took over several tacks, and he uses chicken litter.

No one in our area is use to it.

You must be working for mosaic or potash Corp or somebody today. Chicken litter is a solid base to a fertility program. Just ask the guys growing big corn. I only mentioned dry land corn and beans because they were out freaking standing and the key to the mans fertility program is chicken shit. A little pop up and topdress a half rate of N and good to go oh yea and overall fertilizer costs are 30-40% less.

Makes sense with all the fields close by. It doesn't last long but hot damn it's strong while it does. He must be finished cause I haven't noticed this week.

I experienced this type of phenomenon around Charlotte in 2012. The mystery was solved when I realized that the DNC was happening downtown.

They quit planting corn on or around the 15th due to lack of insurance availability.

All the fields not planted are going in beans last I spoke with him.

So your not quite out of the woods.

I suspect the one field behind bojangles will need some litter.

    That field leaches horribly.

I'll have to video clients when they get out their car. It's comical to watch them look on the bottom of their shoes. One walked in & asked, "what In the hell is that smell outside"? I told him I don't know but I wish you'd find it. One of the girls in the office was convinced there was a dead body next door.

As I pointed out in the txt....they are prepping the ban fields this afternoon!

And the wind did change but get ready!

They will get the field at Bojangles soon. I suspect they will be done on the fields down the street by the weekend.
