Who is the aeschynomene expert in here? I planned some last year and obviously did something wrong. I remember someone in here swears by it and I need their secret.

Just Damn.
I think I planted it too early and it was taken over by weeds I've got about 3/4 of an acre I want to plant adjoining about the same size plot of peanuts I planted last week. I ordered 10 lbs from Hancock that should be here in the next few days. My plan theory is to have this for the deer to eat until I take the fence down around the soybeans.
2th taught me how to pronounce it.
I always shoot for last week of May first week of June.
Spray roundup atleast 2 weeks prior.
I plant it much earlier. April/May...unless in a shady spot. Does great with alyce clover. Weed control can be tough but it usually wins the battle.
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.
What have yall found out works best to sew it? Top sew on killed off field, top sow on tilled field, or lightly drag it in...?

its a tiny seed. good dirt and broadcast. drag if you see too much seed after....

Definitely plant with something. First frost will kill it off and then you got nothing if you don't plant nurse crop/partner crop.

The alyce and deer vetch is going to be mixed in with sunn hemp and a little sorghum sudan grass to hopefully get it established. Plan to top sew a hundred or so lbs of rye near first frost. It's smaller than some clovers and brassicas I have planted and the sandy soils seem to require me to harrow/drag seed in regardless of size.

There's no "t". According to 2th, it's "Ass you know me".

Well that's not good for my plots. Sounds similar to my issues with clover.

I have only planted it once, why idk, but the the deer absolutely loved it. I planted about an acre of it in our quail preserve and it did great. I just plowed, spread it, and then dragged it.
