    Seriously I can go fourteen hours on one bag of lump charcoal on my drum smoker. Cost me forty bucks to build. Set it and forget it.

    I have to say I AGREE with the comments on Electric and gas smokers, neither compare to a full blown wood smoker

    Wish I had the time and know how to use a pure wood smoker but just do not smoke enough stuff to make it worth the cost .

    Main thing I smoke is venison summer sausage and works great for that , other than that I smoke a turkey or 2 and couple boston butts every year

    I have done a couple turkeys and some thick cut pork chops on Weber kettle grill set up for smoking but struggled to keep temp down where i wanted it. NO COMPARISON to that flavor I will admit

    Keep looking at pellet smokers for my next one

    I have really looked hard at Stumps smokers but just not sure be worth the cost for what little I do
