    Default Ladder stand

Any suggestions on a CHEAP ladder stand with a large foot platform so I can comfortably shoot while standing. If I can’t find any I have lock-ons to use before spending $250+ on a ladder.

The platform is plenty big enough if you flip the seat up.

We have started using these in Kansas due to the short and crooked trees. Finding a good tree for a loc-on is very difficult. Simpsons in a Sumter usually sells them for $149.

I have some 10+ year old stands that are field and stream. I think they came from dicks at the end of the year. But they have a wide base and flip up seat that would be perfect for what you described. I actually made a long rifle shot behind me by kneeling down on the platform.

I googled it and didn't see anything exactly like it but these are close and on sale. Even if at Dicks.

For those using stands from Dicks..

Not sure if it affects ladders or not.

If you have a friend going through N.Augusta, these are worth what they cost. Shipping makes them cost prohibitive, however. I know what you're looking for...a platform big enough to get your feet set right for a bow shot in any direction.

I picked one up a few years ago that’s a ladder stand with a 360* swivel seat so I can shoot any direction using the rail as a rifle rest, or stand and rotate my feet any direction for a bow shot.

Mine is a 'Big Game' brand, but I see the same stand is now sold on Amazon labeled 'Guide Gear'. Either way it's a great stand.

Take a look at the #9, #4 and #2 selections on this list. All have nice large foot platforms.

We have bought a couple of those man and half stands (wider than normal ladder stand ) from Dicks. Work great, we talent them to IL every year . Pretty simple to put and and take down with 2 people

Going to get one for local farm I hunt around here for bow season . Seems like we got them on sale for about $149 or so
