Super cool. I’ve said for years that my 40th birthday present to myself was my pilots license. I’ve been saving my pennies, with 4 years to go, I’m on pace. I’m super jealous.

    Nice Mo

My just winging attitude is not conducive for that, owning and flying my own plane. I'd end up getting in trouble for flying around and dropping water balloons on my friends. I feel like you could get in trouble for that.

Getting my license has been on the list since my early 20s. Granddad and dad are pilots. Used to have a plane at Owens Field, I guess I waited to long to take advantage of that.

That's awesome. Nothing like it. I got my ticket at 40, bucket list thing... I've got a little over 200 hrs and have not been current for a few years. Going on a check ride in the next week or so. Ready to get back into it. My son loved it. He's 11 now and asked when are we going to fly.

I soloed in ultralights when I was thirteen, I earned my pilots license when I was 20. My dad was the person who helped me obtain these opportunities. My father passed away last month and it has rekindled the fire to get back in the air. This is one of my best flying experiences.

    Thanks everybody.

I'm so incredibly fortunate to be able to do things with my kids that I never dreamed possible when I was a growing up.
