Default Happy 44th Anniversary of Zeppelin's Earl's Court Performance.

May 25, 1975 Led Zeppelin played the last of 5 shows at Earls court. It is certainly my favorite performances of the 5, and is epic coming in at almost 4 hours. I couldn't sing like Mr Plant to begin with, but to sing like this after 4 shows on previous nights for 3 hours each and then come in and preform like this and give your best performance is just indicative of them, and how good they were.

There has been no other band before them, and certainly after them that could do what they did.

If you have never heard them or scene the videos take few min. The first hour is amazing listening. Remember this is live not a record with over dubs and do overs. This is a testament to how good they actually were!

By the time they get to the 4th encore they play Communication Breakdown. They are all having a great time Bonzo is flipping drum sticks in the air and playing. Page is one handing the machine gun like attack on the iconic opening. Even jones seems more at ease. Mean while not to be out done Plant is screaming like a banshee while riding a valkyrie all this after playing for over 3:30 min!!!

This was pretty much the last of the Zeppelin flying high. It was later in '75 Page kicked Kenneth Anger out of his house where Anger had been living while Page worked on a soundtrack for him. At this point, a practitioner of Magik, Anger put a whammy of a curse on Page. You can say you don't believe in this sort of thing, but this is one of the most public examples I know of, of a demonic curse actually working.

Page was and is not a Christian. He was definitely left open to any attack brought against him.

Shortly after the curse Plant along with his wife kids and Pages daughter ended up in a terrible car wreck in Greece. Plants wife almost died. Plant had a broken leg, and they had to cancel the US tour. Fast forward '77 they go back on tour, but have to cancel that tour when Plants son dies unexpectantly from a unheard of stomach virus. But only after Peter Grant and John Bonham almost end up jail for a very long time for beating up a man in Oakland.

Plant all but quits the band after his sons death. John Bonham convinces "Percy" to come back. They get their act together and do a really great show in Knebworth. The plan was to come back to America in late 1980, but as the band was rehearsing at Pages house Bonham ended up dying from over indulging in the booze one September night.

For all intents and purposes the band was dead after 1975.

Interestingly enough the curse supposedly was the King Midas curse. Arguably it worked. Everything Page loved died, and or turned to gold.

I often pray for Mr Page and that his eyes be opened as he is in the twilight of his years. He is a very gifted man who for all his talent, wealth, and power will end up in hell if he doesn't reject his current beliefs and accept the true God!

    Yup, he's crazy...

like a fox. The dude may be coming in a little too hard and crazy but 90% of everything he says is correct.

Sort of like Toof. But way smarter.
