Why? It was a legit question. I'm looking into the softscience stuff but have already order a new pair of rubber rainbows I didn't even know they made, so I got something out of it. What I didn't take into consideration when I was asking the question is that a boat shoe and a beach shoe will be two different things most likely.

A fish bites 2 times a day, right before I get to the water, and as soon as my boat gets back on the trailer.

Yep, you'll roll an ankle faster in crocs than anything.

Ebay is the cheapest place to get them. I use them for fishing and work. 10 hrs a day and my feets don't hurt at the end of the day.
This means you can wear them on either foot.

I wear them on the boat, and cant recommend them as a boat shoe. Comfortable as hell and I like wearing them on the run out/in for cushioning but let those shoes or the deck get wet and they are dangerous. Like ice skating in the shoe, and on the bottom at the same time.
I will probably buy a pair of boat shoes this summer for the first time. Getting too old to beat my feet and joints up for no reason.

Yep, the insides get wet and you'll be wearing them upside down before you know it.

    No socks.

Got the full length Grundens Fish put up, you’ll break and ankle on a wet deck before you slip in those things, I just can’t wear something like that when it’s hot.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I typically go barefoot as well, but if im going for a full day of fishing, I put on Xtratuff's. Great boots, They look stupid, but I enjoy them. That being said, I look pretty stupid most of the time anyway.

Draining means your feet got wet. Think about that for a minute.

They do not look stupid. I have found that they make you look like you know what you are doing. I have a pair and I don’t always know what I am doing but people stay out of my way and ask me lots of questions when I have them on.

The Sperry tennis shoe. Had some years ago & wore them at work & up & down the dock. They lasted forever & were great on the boat. Never worried about slipping & busting my ass

Crocs have their sizing way off. I buy the deck soled version about two sizes smaller than nominal and they don't let my foot slip around so bad.
