    Default turkey stuff

    IMG_5148.JPG
so, I killed a turkey in KS. It was hot and there were lots of ticks. I knew better than to complain about that....and then it was 30 degrees and blowing 40mph and the turkeys were not moving much so i hunted three days and only got within bow range of a mature bird once. Granted, I still had fun and saw turkeys do turkey stuff. Hell, I was texting some of you people when a nice tom came in gobbling and bedded down on the edge of a field at 60 steps for over an hour. WTF??!! Anyway, thank goodness for jakes to keep me interested...

And I got to burn pastures and that is fun.

    the end

Yawn. Sounds as interesting as going to the dentist.

    Nice bird!
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home. -Tecumseh-

    Congrats 2th.

The nice tom probably saw your hat since it doesn't match the rest of your camo.

Why are you using your dad’s picture for your story?

Congrats to him for a good shot!

My dad's dead, also. Godspeed to both of them. At least your dad left you a cool hat.

You still look a lot older than I thought you were. You ought to take better care of yourself, 2th, so you can hunt more turkeys.

Does it get any better than that? Nice Kevin!

Very nice work. Every once in a while I think I might want to kill another Gobbler with an arrow, but I rather enjoy shooting them with a shotgun.

To all the whippersnappers making comments on a man's appearance as he ages , I will quote that great philosopher Yoda " When you are old, look this good, you will not"

    So there.
