    Bless all of you for doing murph, especially with those temps.

    I am still playing the role of a fat kid, gravity and I still don't get along.

    Today:

    3 sets of banded L-sit pull ups

    5 attempts to find new 1rm Deadlift

    FT:
    1 Deadlift at 85% of 1rm
    10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 Strict pullups


    1rm worked out to 365. Not a life time PR for me but I was happy with it. Hope to see the 4's soon with this new programming and a lot less running.

    Max yesterday on Clean & Jerk, 245 lbs, no squat clean or split jerk allowed. Ran out of time to see if I could match the jerk with max clean weight. Max today on snatch, 195 lbs, went for 205 but my form isn't very good on snatches so I max out a little light.

    2000m row after the max. Time was 6:59.

    MM, JT and Big O were laughing at my time. I think they've gotten a little big for their britches since you quit programming for them. Big O gave it a shot, your pops did not.

    They definitely have. I still try to give something every once and a while but they complain or "forget" to do something that I wrote.

    That's strong on the C&J and the snatch. I hate a dang snatch (that kind).

    1 mile run, easy pace
    3x 200m uphill runs, easy jog back down and 3 min rest
    1 mile run home, easy pace

    took me longer than expected, the hills kicked my butt

    then spent the rest of the day in the barn working

    15 min to find 1RM of:

    Power Clean
    Hang Power Clean
    Squat Clean
    Hang Squat Clean
    Split Jerk
    Scoring: 205 failed at 215 twice on the hang squat clean

    Y’all are getting after it! Good for all of you.

    I fractured my elbow 4 months ago and it has set me back a lot and I have regained 20 of the 55-60lbs I lost last year. Judt got back up to running 9 miles a week and started back at hot yoga this week because I am at the extreme end of inflexible. Yeah you can knock it all you want, but it is the only way I have found that I will consistently stretch and get results. It also is not for the faint of heart. Scenery isn’t bad but I am normally just trying my best to not die. It makes me stretch a whole lot more than I would on my own because it is that unpleasant for me and pushes me to my limit.
    I have never been able to touch my toes and still havent to this day. Also suffer pretty badly from IT band syndrome that I constantly fight and have quite a few old injuries (broken wrist(s), cervical spine fracture in 2 spots, herniated discs in same spots, broken heel, ankle sprains that don’t help my flexibility, screws in my hand, arthroscopic knee surgery, probably forgetting a few but I still feel all of those daily). Have an MRI scheduled for elbow tomorrow and not really sure what to expect moving forward recovery wise but that is my most recent injury that has really bogged me down. Once that is on the mend hopefully sooner than later, I cant wait to start lifting again and mostly doing pushups/pullups.

    I used a therapy laser yesterday on my IT band and it helped with the pain almost immediately. Didn’t think I was going to log any miles this week and ran 2 this afternoon.

    I've really been concentrating on my weakest lifts lately. I finally hit 315 Romanian deadlifts for reps and 410 on the shrug rack. I can't seem to get past 100 on barbell curls though. Any ideas?

    Stop while you're ahead? Doesn't sound like you need to be any stronger!

    I just have a few things I want to work on. I'm doing more cardio now but it's hard to beat the feeling of lifting heavy(for a 55yr old).
