    Default Severe Weather This Afternoon

Don't let this weather fool you into complacency today. If you're on the water or in the woods, especially in the midlands, be mindful of all the severe weather watches and warnings being issued. Straight-line winds suck when you're standing amongst tall skinny pine trees.

I was already bitter about the 1.5 -2" of rain they are predicting. Now you're just being spiteful.

ETA: Appreciate the heads up. I was hoping to do some limb work this evening with the pole saw.

At least we shouldn't get any of this record April blizzard they are predicting later in the week for much of the west, midwest, and yankeeland. Highstrung would go on strike...

I just watched a Bradford pear limb break off in this storm. It was a pretty good size. I giggled.

My grandson’s baseball game was cancelled for tonight. And as for the Mississippi River, I talked to the owner of our club just north of Reelfoot today. The river shows no signs of receding anytime soon. All of our land is still flooded and we didn’t pump one ounce of water this year.
