Dammit. I put the birdfeeder out around that time and totally missed it...
Dude, it was badass!! Big SOB!!
I saw something exactly like that about 3 or 4 weeks ago traveling between Blacksburg and Rock Hill coming home from a baseball game. I didn't know what the hell I had just seen and my wife missed it because her face was buried in her phone. Kinda freaked me out at first. Didn't ever consider it to be a meteor, but very possible that's what I saw too that night.
What direction was it?
Up.
Hope that helps
SMDH.
Awesome.

When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home. -Tecumseh-
I saw one in North Dakota years ago before a hunt. I thought the world was ending for a second or two.
Saw it as well driving to work. I wonder if it was debris from the satellite India shot down?
Saw it this morning in the upstate. Green as heck.
Saw it too at Columbia airport. Big and green.
Saw it in Greenville, it was so bright it looked really close, lasted a while.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!
