I’ve got a 1408 Bugbuster MiTide in the trading post.. 40 Yamaha tiller hanging on the back. Somebody scratch the itch
So, I have never been in a High Tide or a Mi Tide. What's so good about them??
Crops are harvested, animals are killed.
They have the smooth ride of any fiberglass boat yet have the versatility of a jon boat. They were truly built for the sportsmen of the Carolinas. There’s all sorts of flavors. You got side consoles, center consoles, tillers, seen them with duck blinds, piling platforms, setup for serious fishermen, and for your serious duck hunter. They’re very customizable. The list goes on and on. And you know a man has state pride when he’s riding a high tide. The list goes on and on.

This one has belonged to 4 different members of this site and I’m willing to bet the other 3 still wish they had it (even though one of them knows he can come by and hook up to it any time he wants to)....
High Tide went out of business because Mike, the owner, was getting older and ready to retire. His kids were not really interested in carrying it forward. I do not remember the exact year High Tide stopped making boats. Then a woman from Murrells Inlet bought the molds and business for her son and they started Mi Tide. And have since managed to run the company in the ground due to piss poor customer service, mediocre (at best) boat building abilities and a lack of good help due to the owners son being a spoiled rotten brat. It’s really a sad state of affairs for such a icon in the Georgetown area. There’s not a boat dealer in the area that will deal with Mi Tide and I’ve heard talk of Mike, the previous owner, trying to buy the molds back and finding someone to properly run the business under the High Tide name.
That said I have a 95 1503 that I have owned since I was 18 and it has a blown motor. It kills me not having that boat to ride in every day.

The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.
That looks like M.Watson's old boat. Sweet ride.
I don’t believe I’ve ever seen BigBrother’s rig. Can someone scare up some pics?
I’ve ridden in the triple B, but don’t have any pics.
It’s a center console 17 footer. Damn fine bote.
I love mine, but the woman is throwing a fit for a big center console and she makes a good argument, so mine will be on the market soon. Nothing set in stone yet but if she keeps hammering me for a few more days, and bribing me the way she does I’m bound to cave.
Had this one for awhile and liked it, only complaint was the wood construction. Was great for hunting coastal waters.
Didn't another company make the same boat as the 1503 with a pad bottom?

Ok, so what is the actual name of Coastal boats. I'm trying to learn stuff here. I tried googling "coastal boats" and didn't find anything like High Tide.
