    Default Sunday morning triple

    image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

Had a fun hunt this morning, doubled up with a buddy before 7:20am and one of the birds has a unique color phase. We hurried up and left that property since there were a couple more birds gobbling within 100 yards and we wanted to get out without spooking them. While we were starting to clean the two birds at my buddies house we thought we heard a gobble several hundred yards away. I cut real loud on a box call and the bird gobbled again. We hurried up to the back of the field and within 5 minutes he was putting on a show and died at 35 steps. Couldn't have asked for a better morning. I didn't get the weights but my bird had a 9" beard and 1 1/4" Spurs and my buddies birds had 9" beard and 1" Spurs and a 10" beard and 7/8" Spurs.

When in doubt, shoot him again!

Work like it's all up to me, but pray, like it's all up to him!
