Yes. Any suggestions? 7mm RM in a light weight hunting rifle. It's a M700 FS that came with a Brown Precision stock.

I would go with a carbon barrel. Hardy, Proof, Carbon Six etc etc. Sendero contour. You aren’t saving that much weight but it leaves some meat on the barrel.

Truthfully it comes down to how long you want to wait. There are some smiths turning out top notch work in a few weeks and there are some with leade times of 6+ months.

Carbon barrel = proof. Others make good barrels but proof has mastered reliability and repeatability.

Whom ever you choose make sure the action is single point cut or trued and not just chased with a +.010 tap. In my opinion a tap does not have the rigidity needed to straighten bad threads.
Seeing these soulless vanilla ice lookin Yankees on a bassboat is worse than watching a woman get her implants taken out. It's just wrong. Get back in your Lund and go back to infisherman.

Thanks for the advice. I would like to use my factory stock (Brown Precision). I'm not sure a carbon barrel will fit.
