Any of you fellas on here have a place and be willing to let a fella and kid pitch a tent overnight April 5th-6th near Bonneau Ferry for the draw hunt there then? Cold camping, no fires, roll in late Friday and roll out way early Saturday morn. Suggestions for a public area appreciated. Just finding out there is no provision for camping there and am having to reach out to the USFS for information about possibly camping on Francis Marion. They do a lot of things different down there it seems. Thanks in advance for any help.

I believe that there's a little primitive camping area right by the quinby creek boat landing off of 402. It comes up as Huger Recreation Area on google maps

Did a search and found this has been already covered about the public camp angle in past years. Sorry for the rehash and we will be pursuing that or just get a room. Was hoping to camp for the adventure as much as being closer to the property, not to get at the front of the line.

FWIW, if any of yall get drawn for Belfast, you will find stuff like this is a non-issue and you can expect a family friendly sort of affair. Information is usually shared outright up front by techs and most hunters, areas requested and assigned and if two parties are wanting the same area then you draw straws for it. They always identify a few back up areas available and you just call the tech during the hunt if you need to try somewhere else. All about the kids there and not a shotgun start.
