    Default Roasting your own coffee?

Since I am doing a lot fishing with the “long rod”. I have started to roast my own coffee.

    Anyone else do this?

    Because it is.

I do, however, think it's kinda lame AF that you started roasting your own coffee before you started tying your own flies....

Interesting. Never thought about this until I read it in a Foxfire volume. Do you soap the pan to remove oil first? What heat and I imagine you're stirring constantly?

I’m dedicating this cast iron strictly for beans. It was new.

Yes. You have to stir nonstop. Lots of good info out there.

Best coffee I ever had was in Ethiopia. I am trying to get back to that level.

Dammit Ricky. Don’t fall for this shit. Keep drinking BRCC. They bring it to your door for Pete’s sake. A dedicated skillet?! WTF man?

And congrats LED, you managed to gay up an already gay forum.

PS - I tried that shit he bragged about from Ethiopia. I’d rather drink 12 hour old truck stop coffee

I don’t drink coffee, but I’ve heard from several people that Kopi Luwak is the best. You should definitely give it a try and let us know how you like it.

I had to look that up.

Kopi luwak (Indonesian pronunciation: [ˈkopi ˈlu.aʔ]), or civet coffee, is coffee that includes partially digested coffee cherries, eaten and defecated by the Asian palm civet (Paradoxurus hermaphroditus).[1] Fermentation occurs as the cherries pass through a civet's intestines, and after being defecated with other fecal matter, they are collected.

No but you should take up fly tying. Looks like you have plenty of time for it.
