Pretty work Spur, I can't wait to make my annual trip up to the South Holston to toss some flies.

Bead head BWO nymphs, Dun caddis pupae, Turkey stone nymph, Rude yellow Neal. That should just about round out an early spring selection for a NC/SC wild stream.

That is an enjoyable way to spend a rainy day. Those are good looking flys. Another fly I have had good success with in those streams is a dark olive bead head hare’s ear. Weight it heavy with 4-5 turns of lead wire, a copper bead, and use copper wire for a rib in sizes 12 and 14.

I would love for life to slow down enough one day to do things like that. Good job.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.
