    Default security cameras

what is everyone using as far as home security cameras? looking for something that has great video and has the capabilities to notify my phone when motion is detected. I have been looking at arlo and nest but not sure are there others I should be looking at as well. would prefer not to have to pay a monthly subscription. thank you in advance for any input

    Take a look at Blink.
If you give 10 people a bag of gold, someone will complain about how heavy it is!

I have 4 Nest cams. One is the outdoor IQ model that offers tracking and facial recognition.

I'm impressed with the range and reliability of all of them. Setting up zones with different notification abilities is nice, too.

We run a few Lorex 4k cameras on NVR. They will do anything you need them to do.

I recently put in a 5mp Reolink 8 channel NVR system. Impressed with vid quality, ease of set up, notifications, etc. Running wires was the hardest part. I wanted a system that would continue to record with WiFi down.

Blink and Arlo seem like the deal.
I think the arlo have a 300ft range from the monitor and the blink is 100ft but you can add other monitors.

I have arlo system with wireless cams. I’ve had them 6 months charged them each one time probably get 30 notifications a day.
