    Seems that Sydney Rice broke his thumb playing basketball yesterday. He's done until the fall.

    That's ok Red, he will be back in time for a game somewhere around Thanksgiving...with plenty of practice time before that particular game.

    Losing a player of that caliber will sting a bit in the first few games. However, I feel we have adequate talent to fill his shoes in the meantime.

    you taters talk it up, Sydney Rice is one of the best recievers in the country, He is a sophmore this year and I think you will have him to recon with until the pros come looking for him.

    That would be "reckon." This spelling lesson provided by a pulpwood alumnus of that great institution of higher learning in the northwest corner of our State.

    For the record, though, Rice is a very good receiver and the pros will come calling sooner rather than later.

    Sidney will not lead the team in catches or yards this year but hopefully touchdowns... we have a Vernon Davis... hehehe
