Default 2001 Johnson 150 Carb 600 hrs ...value?

Friends neighbor is selling a boat with this engine on it. Compression checks out great very clean with minimal surface rust anywhere. estimated 600 hrs or so with documented mechanic records.

Has been used in salt water some but really is a sharp motor. New carb job, fuel filters, etc.

I am a Yamaha guy so if I wanted to sell this motor what kind of value would it fetch?

    Thanks

Great motor not sure how much it would be worth though.

I am- I need a 20" shaft for a work boat- is this on a center console? shallow vee ? it might be a 20". I assume it will come with controls. I'll get you a value.

I recently bought a 2001 Johnson 115 hp 20” shaft motor in pretty good shape, gray freshwater motor for $1300 with controls, stainless prop. Mounted it and ran it for 10-15 hrs since January. Not saying what your motor is worth but giving you an actual recent sale for comparison.

My mistake. The one for $5,999 has been through a complete rebuild.

if a carbed as you say with controls value $1200- $1800 depending on condition
If a fuel injected FICHT- parts value only

If it's a 20" and you only want the boat, lets get together and make it work- if it's a 25"- I have to pass
