Well, the big ducks finally made it. Jumped around 100 on a 1/2 mile run up the river in the rain this afternoon.

I've seen more Bluebills this season in the piedmont and have seen even more since the season has been out than ever before. It's been pretty cool to see these around this year.

A buddy of mine has been watching a raft of 100+ on a private pond in the upstate where hes been doing some land enhancement.

The doves are finally here too. I ran a couple hundred out of a depleted corn field yesterday. I burned a pasture and they swarmed it. It would be kinda of cool if there was a short winter split season that you could save a field for to have one last shoot. Not sure what crop would work best but maybe sorghum left standing and burned just in time.

Had ducks in gun range while fishing this morning. Jumped 50 ringnecks last Saturday right near my favorite cypress tree.

Way up into fantasy land. You know they’re ugly and square, they don’t belong here, they’d look a lot better as beer cans.
