    Really just an overactive mind and the desire to point out there and say, "I did that". Ebonizing is a technique that goes back to the craftsmen of yore making furniture by hand. I watched a PBS show about a dude making tables and he ebonized the legs to make them black....that started the wheels turning.

    It's not so much re-inventing the wheel as it is pulling out a pocket knife and carving my mark into the hub.

    Traditional waterfowling has been devoured by commercialization and lost to many.

    Waterfowling has been prostituted by the outrageous prices that folks are willing to pay for boats, motors, clothing, guns, shot shells, calls, decoys, etc. Poling or paddling through the timber or marsh and harvesting ducks over decoys you made or classic blocks that you restored makes the hunt and the kill much more satisfying...............most will never understand.

    We need more posts like this and less about politics.
