Why would you not shoot it? Especially if you travel out west, up and down hills/mountains for miles each day. It allows you to shoot a youth model gun with a short barrel instead of lugging a big, much heavier gun around. If you only hunt a day or two at home, then it doesn't really matter. Not to mention the extra pellets in the wad cup that increases your pattern. Will I shoot one over 50 yards or so....nope. Is the pattern and ease of maneuvering with a smaller gun worth the extra expense? Hugh Damn Right!

this thread probably didn't turn out the way he thought it would.
Can I shoot TSS out of my old 1958 Belgium made Browning 20 gauge?
Where do you buy them locally for a 20 or a 16 gauge?

I don't know about locally but Rogers sporting goods has good prices on the 20 gauge shells.

Yeah and in case anyone has poor reading comprehension, I watched9 die from tss last year. I killed 3 birds. I only mentioned a number in response to the guy that said if you shoot tss they don't flop. That's not always the case.

Simpsons in Sumter has federal tss in stock.

What’s the deal with “they didn’t even flop” some of you always rant about? Who gives a shit? When did that become the new standard for dead? Does it make the turkey any deader, your gun or ammo better or you a badder ass? Soooo stupid. But, I guess ignorance comes free but the cost is high.

I shoot tss #16s at doves. Works so good they don't even fall. They're dead though they just don't know it.

Disclaimer: I use TSS in my <12 gauge turkey guns. My 12 gauge guns are straight lead.

The whole argument about spending X dollars to travel, lease, etc is tired.

Hunters travel and choose not to spend money on hotels. They choose not to use premium gas in their vehicle when regular still gets them to the destination. There are high-end/expensive calls but the cheapest thing from the shelf can work too. Camo, decoys, vests, etc are choices. Make your decision about what you want to use and let that be the end of it. Don't like strutter decoys because it makes it easier to kill a bird in certain situations? What if the anti-decoy hunter uses TSS "for certain situations"? One argument does not trump the other.

Be happy y'all, turkey season will be here before you know it. I know I'm ready for it!

If a turkey don't flap, how do you kill the subdominant bird that's hanging 20 yards back?
