Default Royal Canin Labrador Puppy Food

Do any of you feed your dogs this brand of food? My vet said I might want to consider putting our new puppy Beuford on this. I have been feeding him large breed puppy food and I am curious if this is actually better for the dog or just branding for expensive dog food.

Large breed puppy food is what you need. Stick with big names like royal canin, purina, Iams/Hills/Science diet.

    Stay away from calcium supplements.

I don't know anything specifically about that dog food.

I believe in quality dog food. But breed specific dog food makes me highly suspicious. Reminds me of the guy that has to buy corn with the picture of a deer on it.

Diamond had quality control issues in their Gaston plant.

I thought it sounded silly but figured I'd ask. I'll stick with what I'm doing and use the saving to buy a new kitchen table when he finishes teething lol.
