It's on I-26 in front of the Jamil Temple betweent St. Andrews Rd. and Piney Grove Rd. It's on your left as you're heading west on I-26.

I am sure LAMAR outdoor weighed the cost of replacement with the price of the board- much like an abortion billboard- they expect it to be damaged- normally they put controversial stuff on HIGH ones that make it harder to destruct- it probably has 15 357 holes already in it

A coworker just forwarded me this email from Terry Don Phillips.

"Please read the message below from Athletic Director Terry Don Phillips. Thank you.

Dear Clemson,

We were all pleased with the outcome of last Saturday night's victory in Columbia. The support of our fans at the game was tremendous, as it has been all season. Our average home attendance this year was among the best in school history and the support of our fans for road games certainly contributed to the 4-1 road record, the best road record for the program in 10 years.

In this column and other initiatives, we have discussed the importance of good sportsmanship at all of our athletic events, home and away. From what I saw, that was the case at Saturday's game in Columbia. We have made great strides by demonstrating good sportsmanship, especially in our competitions with the University of South Carolina.

However, I must say that I was disappointed on Tuesday when I learned of a billboard on I-26 in Columbia that displays the final score and other remarks.

We do not condone the exhibition of this billboard. It steps over the line and I am personally disappointed that it has been displayed. And, I would ask those that are responsible to have it removed.

How we handle our success and adversity needs to always reflect the character and dignity of our great University.

It's freaking pathetic. TDP should have more to do than worry about a billboard. His mention of it gives it far more attention than it deserves. His political correctness would be much more well-suited at a flagship university than a po-dunk cowtown. Off with his head.

Personally, I wish the billboard would not have mentioned Paulk. He's a good player that apparently got sucked in by Steve's line. It's funny how the Old Ball Sack can throw out his one-line zinger's to the press and they eat it up, but now that it is in print that he lied, people are saying is classless. What hypocrites we all are.

A usually reliable source in Columbia has tipped me that the billboard has been changed. Something along the lines of..."Congratulations to Clemson on a good game,"...with all references to Paulk and Spurrier deleted.

Can't we all just NOT get along?! It's a RIVALRY game, for Heaven's sake!!

I'm so old that Tommy Suggs was quarterbacking at USC when I was a student. If I recall correctly, Carolina did pretty well against us in that era. We (Clemson students/fans) were subjected to more than a few words on a billboard.
