Here is a picture I had during the construction process years ago. Notice how the blind frame follows the contour of the bow of the boat. It is a little snug on the Yamaha controls but I fixed that by adding a small block to the top of the console. I have used it like this for 5+ years without issue...but I am actually taking the console and controls out and going back to the tiller. I want the additional floor space.

The 2x4 in the stern was placed there for a point of reference so I could build the bracket.

Edited to add this old pic...you can see the blind and also the trolling motor mount.

I'll try and take a pic of blind on the boat this afternoon.

    Hope this helps!

Just depends if you want a hard blind or want the scissor style. I know some guys don't like the hard blinds while driving.
I am interested in seeing this as well.

That helps a ton but I’m interested in how you bent it and how you mounted it. Please get some more pictures. And yeah the floor space is the way to go.

Johnny, that's a nice setup for sure!! I like how you did that.

here is what I have.. I like it a lot. I had the scissor style for years but never thought to do what Johnny did.
And before anyone says anything.. we already discussed that I don't need three giant led bars on the boat. it came that way and I am taking them all off ! I'll sell them to anyone who wants them too.

That’s strange. My girlfriend showed me an overpriced ht on the Facebook market place with a blind that had similar mounting points. 4E7C8D10-11C1-41EA-817F-91CF43498562.jpgCC0BF54D-B346-4DCC-AC22-C9C61B600D00.jpg31A84BC5-420C-45ED-865D-2E03FF082483.jpg
I wonder how hard it would be to fab something like this up.

yea ive seen that one too. that's a more permanent style because he has drilled it into the side ribs. Shouldn't be hard to make something like that though, if you can weld

I’ve been known to burn some rod, and I bend conduit pretty often at work, but it looks like this guy used a tubing roller to get he contour of this boat.

Really interested in Johnny’s set up

Looks great- We killed a bunch of ducks and caught a ton of fish out of the same boat- it was repainted grey just like that. We used to wear out the sheephead at the jetties with it.
