I brought this up a few years back and everybody told me it was a stupid idea......I believe that VA has been doing this for quite some time

State is going to offer $75 per.

    "Fox" pens offer $100.

Trapper sells to the pen. Pen "uses" the coyote. Pen turns in coyote for $75 bounty after it has served its purpose.

    Pen gets coyote for $25.

Tin foil hat time; Are the pen owners wanting a way to recoup some cost on stocking these pens and letting us foot the bill?

So has VA solved their coyote problem? Or just beating USofC problem?

If we could apply the same techniques for coyote management that the DNR has applied for waterfowl management at Broad River, there wouldn't be any yotes left in the state by September.
If it ain\'t accurate at long distance, then the fact that it is flat shooting is meaningless.

Yep. Drive past one and you just left 75 clams on the street because you were too lazy to stop...

I could have made over $300 just driving from Greenville to Columbia yesterday morning.

Let’s put a bounty on people that litter.

I honestly dont think a bounty will work especially only being a dollar a license. I dont think it will be enough money. The bounty will be over before deer season because they will be out of money. A guy at work did say if they paid him to trap he would want to learn. I am going to trap no matter whether it passes or not. I enjoy it and it kills time in the off season. But if they want to pay me for a coyote i would be happy to take it. I am not going to sell to pens.

I just finished dying and waxing some more for Bowfinclassic and myself. I would be happy if there was a 75 dollar foot in each one next year if it passes

What’s the latest on this bounty business? It passed, then vetoed, then overrode. Is there a bounty now?

Dnr just needs to implement the same plan they had for the white bass in Santee. Poof. Gone
