    Default F150 Trailer Lights

Having an issue, 2014 Trailer lights, Flashers and brake lights work, running lights do not.

I have tried changing the power to the trailer lights relay fuse in the box under the hood. I tried to find a relay for the running lights but the local Advance didn't have it.

KRT is 3 hours away and I need some help.

    Thanks guys.

Had the same problem with my truck and it was the plug up under the bumper where you splice into the factory to get your trailer plug

    I'd bet it's a wire that's broken somewhere

Get a $5 test light from auto zone or if you have a multimeter...see if you have power at the receptacle. If you do you have a ground issue

If your fuses are good 9/10 times trailer light problems are because of grounds. Check a different trailer. Also make sure the trailer itself is hooked to the ball when testing. Also make sure the tonge of the trailer doesn’t have rust in it preventing it from grounding.

Forgot to mention, three trailers, same issue, brake lights, turn signals and flashers work but no running lights.

I'll get the trailer tester. Thanks guys.

Ha....I misread your entire post. I was thinking you didn't have anything working.

Was the fuse to the relay, finally just started replacing pieces and this fixed it.

    Always something with boat trailers.

So if the fuse was blown to a relay you have a problem. The power wire to terminal 30 on a relay is the only fused circuit. So basically your hot wire to the relay is grounded would be the only way that fuse would be blown.

Just about every trailer wiring issue I've ever had was a ground issue

I will see if I can replicate the fuse blowing. I have my suspicions that it's the trailer for the Parker.

I will update which fuse it was but want to say it was a 20amp fuse, #67 in the under the hood box.

I had an issue last night with a trailer tail light. I would have bet my life it was a ground issue. It was.
