yall think tamie operations are bad now? just wait until this bill gets passed allowing carte blanche killing of these stupid fucking birds. new operations will be popping up all over the state.

this two mallard limit was the only shot to try to put some of these places out of business.

Judge Davis opened that Pandora's Box 10 or 15 years ago, Bubba. You have a receipt for the ducks? You can do whatever you want with them...

Who is insuring they are only killing tamies out of season? No one, I doubt!

There is no season on a pen raised duck.

I believe it says that they have to follow the federal and state season / guidelines.

    (B) A permit for a regulated shooting area for mallards issued by the department shall be valid each year for the annual waterfowl season as established by 50 C.F.R. Part 20 and Section 50-11-10. The permit is valid for the established open season for mallards only.

No reason for them anyhow. Would rather it be illegal to released pen raised birds.
“Duck hunting gives a man a chance to see the loneliest places …blinds washed by a rolling surf, blue and gold autumn marshes, …a rice field in the rain, flooded pin-oak forests or any remote river delta. In duck hunting the scene is as important as the shooting.” ~ Erwin Bauer, The Duck Hunter’s Bible, 1965

Thank God the person who will pay 35 bucks to shoot a pen raised yearling duck is not out in the woods with the rest of us. That is the same type that decides he wants to go turkey hunting and winds up brush shooting your child who is set up and calling a bird in...

My question is how do they know they aren't shooting wild birds? I realize they are marked, but what about the wild ones that mix in, or does that never happen?

I understand your thought process Jab but they aren’t exactly killing them in a controlled setting. There’s chances of wild birds mixing as you know. So either stop the shooting when duck season is over or bust their asses for every unmarked duck killed.

$35 per duck is cheap. Alot cheaper than the wild ducks.
