Why would you do a set without amplification? There is only one way that can go Spanish or no Spanish. I’ve been in very expensive shows where I ENCOURAGED people to kindly STFU. I hope there is more to the story, otherwise he should have expected problems. MG

When did he go country? I quit listening to Staind in about 2002 and haven’t listened to hard rock since. He’s got a few good songs in sounds like.

I like whiskey and you. I believe stapleton wrote it though. Nothing like a rowdy loudmouth to ruin a show.

Stapleton also recorded that song, an acoustic version. It's on his album Traveler.

I don't think he should sing in Spanish but I definitely think he should perform the show without walking off stage. I would be pissed if I paid $50 for a ticket and dude just walks off the stage.

I went to a concert by Andres Segovia at the Gaillard Auditorium many years ago. He was one of the first performers I ever heard of that had a disdain for amplification. He claimed it changed the sound so he played an acoustic guitar in the big room.
It's hard to get that many people to be quiet. Many people were struggling to suppress a cough.

While the lyrics to "Country Boy" are good, and relatable, it is a God awful sounding song. It just doesn't "flow" or something......

He has a couple songs that are ok... only ok. His damn jealousy and all that shit is what turns me away from him.

Didn't he kinda halfway say something about Staind becoming a "christian" band and then drop a GD in a song? Or was that somebody else?

He played a venue where I used to work. Started badmouthing pop country, the crowd cheered in agreement, and then he scolded them for agreeing with him but still going to those types of shows and listening to the radio, etc.
