Man you are doing it right ......I fought the whole way but mine came out the way I wanted it. Remember that you won’t give a shit about the 7-9 day delays for this and that in the long run.

Same here. I went with 2x6 exterior for the same 2 reasons. A doctor in Augusta that was building a 10k ft2 home and passed away in 2012. Builder let me go in a salvage what I wanted. I hauled 3 dump truck loads of lumber out of there before my FIL flatted it. His wife couldn’t stand to finish it after he was gone.

Mine was left over after a section 8 apartment complex was built in charlotte. We were there roofing and the project manager asked me if I knew anyone that wanted 5 hacks of 2x4x10 that still had the bands on them. When I told him I was interested he told me he would even load them for me with a skid steer. All I had to do was make 3 trips and use ratchet straps .

The holes in the house are a game changer for me. I'm really starting to see what she's gonna look like

Looks really good. Just out of curiosity, how are you flashing the windows, since the are replacement style? Interested to see how you do that with the metal siding.
