We have a 5 acre pond in Chesterfield Co. Maybe 15 miles from the PeeDee River. I would like to start SAVs for duck food... Sandy soil, clear water. Half of the pond is only knee deep. 6-8 foot near the dam. There is a riser system installed, very easy to drop the water. Not really ideal to plant with a tractor, too many stumps. We would also want to keep fish, no topwater plants preferably.
I am thinking celery, wigeon grass, vallisneria, or similar. I have zero experience with SAVs. Any recommendations? Online or local sources to purchase if you have any. I would like to get tubers in the ground ASAP, to germinate this Spring.
Thanks
