    Default Fake power line questions

I am thinking about putting a fake powerline up in the dove field. I know some of yall have done it before. Trying to figure out how many power poles. How far apart did yall set poles? Will 3/8 steel cable work or should i go 1/2 in? How long will galvanized last? Or should i go stainless?

You can buy all of the material from your local co-op. They use ACSR cable (Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced), 3/8 or 1/2 steel cable ain't going to be cheap. I want to say 150' between poles, but I'm not sure.

I would use aluminum #4 @200ft max spans. Also you need to guy the dead end poles.

Ha. I remember those damn canals they left. Looked like a skidder played in your yard.

Each pole will end up as a “stand”. Space them accordingly. We have three in our small field.
