    Default Batteries

    Let’s here your opinion...

I need 3 batteries, 2ea deep cycle 27’s for the TM and a dual purpose cranking/deep for the engine and Livewell/humminbird

Would like the deep cycle to have at least 100ah.

Interstate, Optima...buy three dual purpose of the same kind?

Duracell from Sams...two deep cycles and the largest dual purpose you can fit for the cranking/house battery.

Do yourself a favor and install an onboard battery charger, if you don’t already keep them on a charger when not in use. They’ll last well for you.

I have been using interstates the past 6 or so years, I’d say the have been ok I’ve had 1 last a year and other last 2-4.
I have 7 between 2 boats right now and the oldest is 3 years old and still working fine.

    What he said.

Just replaced the ones in my dads boat from 2014 and I have two more boats with Everstarts that are about 3 years old and still going strong. Thats 11 batteries between 3 boats and no issues.

I've got two, blue top Optimas going on 7 years(2011). Still work but probably going to swap them out before summer so I dont get stuck somewhere.

I run two batteries but on a switch, use one full time and second as backup only. Batteries rotated every year
