    Default Wife's First Deer

Doe weighed just under 125 lbs. A big doe for down here. .243 neck shot at about 60 yards...but my wife said she had the crosshairs on the shoulder and thinks she shut her eyes when she shot. When she opened them, the doe was down. Very proud of her. When I got to her stand, she was shaking, and had her hands covering her mouth. I asked, "Are you ok?" She said, "I need a beer."

Thank you, it was pretty neat. I can't post the video of her getting the blood bucket poured on her but she was a good sport and laughed about it.

It was cool until her little dachshund projectile vomited all the blood he'd eaten inside the house. He started hacking and my wife picked him up. She must have squeezed him a little when she did. It looked like a ketchup packet exploding from being stepped on.
