Default 3rd squirrel thread of the day

SCSWAMPCAT came down this morning and we hit the woods, knocked out 6 in about two hours and let one give us the slip.
Not a bad morning but we thought it was a tad slow for the property we were on and the amount of ground we covered. We were scheduled to help with a TOMO style hunt at Cowden Plantation/Jarret Rifle Facility in Aiken and we were both in agreement that it should be a jam up afternoon to hunt, especially considering our thoughts on the morning hunt.
Rolled into Jackson and ate lunch at the facilities and we were watching the kids shoot some skeet and shoot 22s before turning loose to hunt. The wind started howling something fierce and I knew it'd be trouble. Long story short we hunted for 3 hrs, made 4 trees, killed two and let one get away. Highlight of the trip was when they knocked one out of the tree and it ran into a hollow and they got to witness me pull it out alive and throw it to the dog. A fight was on and needless to say Jake won.
Time well spent with friends and the future of hunting

Nice work Cutter, and that is a fine looking "results oriented" squirrel dog. Always looks ready for the next tree.
