    Default Buried a good one

I had to bury a good one tonight. George was my wife’s dog and could have given two shits about picking up a bird but he would never leave her side and always let her know if anyone was coming in the yard. He loved our kids and would let the girls hang on him and pull his tail and never so much as look sideways at them. There were only a few things he hated in this world which included squirrels, cats and strange dogs coming in his yard. The last one got the better of him.

Yesterday 4 stray dogs came in our yard and I am sure he confronted them but they proceed to maul him damn near to death, thankfully my father in law happened to pull up next door and hear the commotion and came to George’s rescue. He spent a while at the vet yesterday and got a lot of staples but there was not much of his body that was not covered in puncture wounds and tonight he gave up the fight. He was a tough old bastard and he fought right up til the end. My wife, my girls and I will miss him but know he has gone to heaven.

Sorry to hear that. Prayers for George.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

    Sorry to hear that.

I'd have a vendetta on stray dogs now.
