Get them a poodle- they come in any size you want, different colors, don't shed, non aggressive, easily trained for anything, love to play with the kids- don't give it the queer poodle haircut and it will have a thick soft coat for a pillow. My Mom always had one and they're the best inside pet dog a family could want.

Well, know whatever you fuckers get, I have shot an ass of.

Living at the END OF THE ROAD as I always have in various places, shitbags turn loose their dogs out. Loose for you Sumter lot.

Perhaps I should start marketing these critters instead of taking them to Dead Dog Rock...

My wife has one of those lab/doodles. I've never had a dog in the house that didn't serve a purpose. She wanted it, we've been married for seventeen years, long enough with me and hunting dogs so I said "yeah, okay". They're silly creatures, smart, and semi protective. They have to be cut, and hair plucked from the ears, on going keep up of that sorts. They can look normalish if you don't cut them where they look like asses. She likes the dog a lot.

It's a mixed breed dog, a mutt where I'm from.

There is no perfect dog. They all have their pros and cons.

Find a dog you like and get it. Paying for a couch potato is senseless. Go to a pound or a rescue group and get a good old fashioned H57 and go nuts.

He's different, we are like half on half off. If I look at him too serious his ass is taking off and getting right next to her. I'm not like mean or anything.

We currently have a springer and a king charles. Springer is my baby but our king charles is no doubt the sweetest and most good natured dog we have ever had and would suit your needs perfectly. Both dogs are couch potatoes. Only negative to king charles is $$$$!

    That's one upside.

But also when the grid goes down they provide less to eat.

    Gotta always be thinking, man.

Find some kind of spaniel mix at the pound. You will get what you are looking for without breaking the bank.

Our last few Springers were in the 6-700 range as pups...most all King Charles pups can't be bought for less than 1500-2000 as a starting price from reputable breeder. That's what I meant by $$$$ haha!

This, they are hard to beat. I could not think of a better dog for kids of all ages. My female has better manners than most people do. She is deaf now and has learned hand signals. They do tend to have some health problems but she will do whatever you are doing. She will sit (sleep) in the deer stand with me, she will trail deer, find doves, swim rivers, hates cats, squirrels, possums. Loves to ride in the truck. If you get a female she is probably going to be yours. Mine will not let me out her site.

why would you pay money for a dog you want to sit on a couch all day? just buy a nice pillow. its probably cheaper.

Probably same reason you have 32000 post on a hunting website... each to his own

Not casting any stones here but, you carry a dog up a deer stand or do you pull em up with a rope?

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!
