Corn
Corn and cow peas
When do I plant? What if I don’t have a grain drill? Probably going to be doing plots with a tiller.

Plant our spring plots the same method as fall plots...plow, spreader on 4 wheeler, drag and had great growth in all plots. I feel like we held more deer on our place last year with the good spring plots.
Last year we did sections of clover but mostly mix of wheat, peas, and sorghum. Deer kept them mowed.
Get your soil tested.
What county?
Durano clover.
How big are the plots?

Unless you have BIG plots, or very few deer or plan to fence them in I wouldn’t rely solely on peas

You can dress a fat chick up, but you cant fix stupid
Food plots probably will be between 1/4 and 1/2 acre. I know that is not big but I have to work with what I have.
When should I disc it up? Should I spray before? When should I actually plant? March?

I always mow then spray a week or 2 later then disc 10-14 days after that. Many will disagree(especially toofer) but that works for me

I never have. I try and plant right before rain so my seed pops and keeps a lot of the weeds at bay

Soon as I got soil temps in the 60s. Just like my fall plantings
