I just got here and the weather is here. Rain, sleet and snow and holding at 32. Looks cold and wet tomorrow. No ducks were seen in our timber this morning and only high flyers seen near the refuge this afternoon. We just sat down at the Boat House in Samburg. Worse case scenario, I eat too much.

We are staying just South of you at Blue Bank Resort. We’ll be on the lake tomorrow and Sunday. Good luck out there!
Living in Moncks Corner but looking forward to moving back to the West Coast in 2020 where there are more ducks and less duck hunters!! LOL

Good luck down there. We’ll be hunting just north of the refuge in Kentucky.

We will be at Reelfoot at the end of next week so hopefully a big push will happen between now and then. I was told southern Illinois is holding more than double their 10 year average earlier this week. Maybe this from will get them moving south.

That’s gotta be pretty close to the same area. Good luck and hopefully some new ones will show up!

Well, this morning was a bust. We managed one greenhead and two gadwall for our blind. Really didn’t have any birds to work. The weather to the North of us is getting lots of snow right now and the winds are supposed to shift to the NorthWest tonight around 1am. We are hunting in the morning and then heading home to South Carolina. It’s been a rough trip so far. Hoping that the weather pushes some new birds down overnight but my hunch is that we are about a week early. I have a feeling that my son is going to smash them next week in Arkansas while I’m working.

I've been to AR three times this season and hunted all around NEA. Everyone is saying the same thing-worst season since 1984. Was planning on being out there from the 11th-20th, but I am waiting to see if this storm pushes birds down. We didn't kill any birds on the lease today.

The season is over for me it's time to move on to the turkeys. Not wasting the time or the money to try to find them

I fly in to Denver tomorrow to hunt public ground in Northeast Colorado Thursday-Sunday.....looks like we may hit it just right with the weather. The South Platte picked up a bunch of new birds over the past weekend and plenty more should be on the way, my buddy that lives out there was lucky enough to harvest this beaut on Saturday
