I didn't know banded existed until the last day of the season last year. I was invited to hunt a club up in Kingstree and the 10 guys who were there all had those waders. All of them leaked.

I'm on my third pair and they have all leaked. I have a two year old white river jacket that the zipper broke on. Their customer service sucks also. I have been emailing them about stuff and all you get is generic response so I called and I might as well have been speaking to a brick wall. I will be stopping to speak with them in person on my way through Memphis next week.

Try fort thompson smith brand. Heard good things about them and they're about a 100 bucks cheaper. Haven't had any trouble with my banded's. I do hang them by the boot after every hunt, going on 2 years with the same pair.

Ask any one that knows me, I am hard on equipment. I bought a pair of Frogtog Refuge waders last and love them. Walking trough briars, breaking ice, etc, they have held up well and are dang comfortable.

Get you a pair of Dan's bibs briar bibs to wear over the top of them. They don't hold water and get heavy and will really protect your waders.

I've had a pair of lacrosse waders for about 4-5 years with no problem except that I got them too insulated and one of the buckles on the shoulder strap kind of broke but still works. Until this year I haven't had a boat so I've had to walk through thick woods and some pretty nasty swamps for the vast majority of my hunts. I don't know the model name but they have some sort of rubberish stuff on the knees, crotch, boot seam, and rear end.

i actually bought a pair of dans briar chaps to do exactly this, but the leak i have now is just from my waders being shitty, not a puncture from briars, etc

I've seen on Instagram that a few people have been wearing Dan's brand waders. I think they're brand new, so time will tell if they hold up as well as the rest of their stuff.

Another vote for Rogers/frogg togg waders. Get the ones with the zip in insulation, its super nice to have the option.

Tall folks seem to have the most problems with inseam leaks because the legs aren't made long enough.

The OP definitely shouldn’t have that problem.
