    Oh, ok. I can see that then. A buddy of mines dad tells a story about getting checked back in the 90's in charleston and having an oversized redfish. He said he knew their was a minimum length but said he had never heard of a max length before. The fish was like 5 inches to long. He said the warden walked back to his truck to get the ticket book and said the fine could be $1,000 per inch over. My buddies dad said he reached in his boat and put his pistol in his pocket while the warden was at the truck and said if he came back down there with a $5,000 ticket it was going to be the last ticket he ever wrote! He ended up giving him like a $150 ticket and everything was cool.

    Still can...if it's a federal violation which most waterfowl charges are...shooting a swan in SC certainly is. The only thing I can think of that wouldn't be a federal violation is a second hooded merganser because the feds allow for two where the state only allows for one.
