    Big difference between catching a bass and winning a tourney- when I take a rookie, lots of times I set them up with a zoom lizard on a 12" light weight Carolina rig on a spinning rod- yep, they always catch a few fish and sometimes plenty.

    I will definitely agree with you on that. I just don't get into it that much so when I do go, I grab my box of about 7 different worms/lizards, some hooks and weights and roll with it. I may not catch as many as the guys that do it competitively, but normally catch enough to make me enjoy it.

    Throw a jig right now steep bank cover On the bank. Bass are facing the bank. Black and blue works great on that lake!!!!

    It's just going to get worse, the mud and the high water.. it's so nappy right now. The lake has a couple hundred miles of shoreline, if it gets funky don't get all comfortable cutting across the center around mid lake and down.
