    Default Concerning my compound bow

I have read leaving a traditional bow strung when not in use is bad for the limbs, does this
apply to modern compound bows as well? TP

Not at all. Leave it strung. Compounds are not even close to traditional when it comes to strings and cables. Half a twist more or less in one cable will put your bow out of tune. Replace strings and cables every 1-3 years depending on use and how they look.

You may have read about screwing out the limb bolts so the poundage is lower.

If your going to store the compound bow for an extended period, lets say more than a year without shooting it, then turn the weight down all the way. If its just for the off season, I wouldn't worry about it. I recommend 3d archery to stay in practice in the off season
