Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Yeah, previous owner didn't get around to finishing this room.
    Neither did I.
Basically a useless little closet in the garage.
    Perfect for fishing poles

I've got two sets of these in my storage shed. They work pretty well.

If you give 10 people a bag of gold, someone will complain about how heavy it is!

I went for ceiling mount in garage for mine to keep them up and out of the way and to prevent them breaking when not in use. I have to use a ladder, but really not that difficult seeing as I am getting them down these days maybe once a month. If I go multiple days in a row I just don’t put em back up or lock them on the boat. Only thing I would say is if you go this route be sure you have spacing set correctly so your rods do not sag and create a permanent bend in the rod. The ones I bought are similar to others you can find but are metal with rubber coating.

I use this for my nicer rods and hang on garage door that I don't want tossed around by the kids.

Lot of good ideas already. You can pretty much customize rod holders to any space with PVC or wood. Just make sure to think out the spacing of the rods, especially if you have larger spinning reels.

I saw a garage door rod holder the other day and thought it was a pretty good idea. I am king of snapping rods though so I think I will leave mine on the ceiling .

I've built the ones like Salty and I also have some wall mounted standup holders. The rods that I don't use often go in the racks on the ceiling and my offshore and trolling rods are in the standup holder on the wall. Next time you are in RH, stop by and I'll show them to you.
I take an PLB in the shower with me. Can't ever be too safe.

Whats it like to live w/o the Internet? Not bad, I get photos of your mom thought the mail....

    I have the same.
Very easy to do, does not take much space
