    Default Charleston Weekend??

I want to plan a weekend in Charleston with my wife and am looking for suggestions on things to do and places to stay. We haven't spent too much time in Charleston, so I know very little about it. The only thing that I know is that I want to eat at Hall's.

    Let's hear it...

If you like history, just walk around downtown and explore.

82 Queen, Magnolia's, High Cotton, Poogan's, Hank's, and Vendue Inn. If your feeling really frisky eat at bubba gumps....

After a little research, I am highly considering Vendue. Looks like a nice place.

Grand Bohemian roof top, gin joint, cocktail club for drinks. Paw paws, Halls, Coast for food. If you’re going to venture out, Acme on IOP for brunch, shelter has a decent brunch too.

Halls is adequate. We don't eat Steak when we go to the Coast..

We love Hank's , Fleet Landing or Shem Creek Bar and Grill for casual lunch..

Page's Okra Grill in Mt P for breakfast, Magnolia's for Brunch..

Poogan's Porch, Husk and 82 Queen will all give good value for your money.. Husk always has great Bourbon selections.

We also truly enjoy Eli's Table. Possibly the most attentive wait staff I have ever seen.. they do have a fine Ribeye there according to my youngest daughter..

We always just make the drive to Seewee for seafood. Kind of a ritual.

Stay at the Spectator. Uber for anything not in walking distance. Seewee has been a real disappointment the last 3X we’ve been there. Hanks is one of our favorites. Prohibition was a pretty good place. Take a walking history tour. Patriots Point is cool. Birds of Prey in Awendaw is cool. Tons to do and explore. Jestine's Kitchen is a good lunch spot as well.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

And when the NPS tour guide says Fort MULL-trie tell him/her no you goddamn yankee, it is pronounced Moo-Tree.

If you like real seafood, Coda Del Pesce is a fine place to have octopus, scallops, cubera snapper, etc.

I would recommend Patriots Point. Short drive across the harbor. Bar open all day, and just up from Shem.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

The ordinary is good. Coast and rue de jean also top my list. Never stayed there as I live here but my friends have had great things to say about the Dewberry. They said roof top bar there was killer and it over looks Marion square. Walking around the Broad St area and battery never gets old. The plantations out 61 are also neat and Charlestowne Landing (first settlement here) is also cool and close to town. Second fleet landing for brunch. Foods good view is amazing...that or the fish house at patriots point. Take the water taxi from the aquarium if you go
