As an SCE&G customer for the last 20 years and as long as I live in my current location, this infuriates me. If this were AT&T, Comcast, or Palmetto Propane etc I would just cancel service and look elsewhere. Impossible with a water, sewer, or power utility unless you move to a different area.
Let me know when to sign on to the class action lawsuit against the SC Legislature, the Public Service Commission, and SCANA.

So as I understand this, we don't get the promised refund, we still pay for SCE&G's mistake and critical infrastructure is being turned over to an out of state company. Sounds like the FBI needs to come to town and look into the finances of the General Assembly and PSC because some dirty shit went down.

IMO, the only thing that could possibly be salvaged and beneficial to the actual ratepayers in this fiasco is to strip SCANA and Santee Cooper of all of their recreational holdings that are not open to the public and make them public.
It pisses me off that these guys have ripped off the ratepayers to the tune of billions of dollars and knowing that they retain prime recreational properties not open to the public.
