    Default Spot names

I know everyone has personal names for some of their spots

Let’s here em and how they got their name

Centerblind (in the center of the lake)

The corners ( a creek makes two 90 degree angle bends and the woodies stack in it)

Swamp island (Small island that’s always flooded)

My point (I killed a limit of it 3 days straight last year during the freeze while my friends were out West)

The Briar pit ( a hole in the middle of the swamp filled with flooded briars when the water is high)

Hiroshima (A bunch of Asian people were camping on it during the spring and they accidentally burnt it up when they left a campfire unattended)

The only one I really like is the Band Hole, public river hole, we shot a banded greenhead on the last two mornings of a MLK trip. I think I like it because of the story. We killed the fool out of ducks there over the years.

I also have a small hole on a local river called the band hole.

Killed my first band out of it last year.

Be it hunting or fishing, naming a spot is the beginning of the end.

My response was more like "why in the hell would you go on a Martin Luther King trip?"

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!
